WELCOME TO THE DIGITAL REPOSITORY OF THE CONSTANTINOS SIMITIS FOUNDATION

The Archives of Constantinos Simitis contain the political archives of the former Prime Minister and reflect the course of his political thought, ideological references and reflections on national, European and other international issues.

It contains documents of political interest, starting from the 1960s when he first became politically active.

It contributes to a better awareness of contemporary political history from the pre-dictatorship period to the present day.

It is intended for researchers, students of contemporary political history, politicians, sociologists, historians and students, as well as any interested online visitors who want to be informed about contemporary political thought.

Through the donation process, the Digital Repository of the Constantinos Simitis Foundation was enriched with material from the years of political life and tenure of close associates of former Prime Minister Costas Simitis. The Foundation premises now house the archives of Nikos Themelis, Georgios Papadimitriou, Socrates Kosmidis, Dimitris Papoulias and Panagiotis K. Ioakeimidis.

The archive digitization program is a dynamic process that takes place every day, as the repository is constantly enriched with new material. Therefore, a possible lack of access to documents is temporary and will gradually be restored upon completion of the program.
